253B Navan Racing Festival Early Bird H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Amiata, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed first, and By The Lake, ridden by S Foley, placed second, where it appeared contact was made. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.T. Keane stated that his mount went left under pressure and felt he had corrected his mount immediately. S. Foley stated that he received a bump which may have cost him some ground. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.

C.T. Keane, rider of Amiata, trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went left under pressure.

S. Foley, rider of By The Lake, trained by Derek McCormack, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a bump and was intimidated late on.

The Irish Horseracing Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Strike De Vega trained by A Oliver was found to be a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards fined the trainer €130 in accordance with the provisions of Rule 148(xii).

C.T. Keane, rider of Love Orchid, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped leaving the back straight.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Mare Crisium, trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped turning into the back straight.
